When you just need someone to talk to…
Carl Jung

Hello, I’m Kerynn, a registered counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association, and I provide trauma‑informed counselling in Echuca, as well as person‑centred mental health support and psychosocial recovery for adults, children, couples, and families.
Flourish Counselling & Psychosocial Support grew from a long‑held hope to create a space where people feel genuinely safe, understood, and supported. I envisioned creating a practice where lived experience, neuroscience, and trauma‑informed practice honour the whole person and their story.
Training with Dr Bessel van der Kolk at The Body Keeps the Score profoundly shaped my understanding of trauma, the nervous system, and the ways early experiences influence how we think, feel, and connect.
With over 25 years in community services and counselling, my practice is grounded in ethical, evidence‑based, person‑centred care, and I hold postgraduate training in behavioural science, counselling, domestic and family violence response, neurodiversity coaching, trauma recovery coaching, and strengths‑based life coaching.
I am a registered member with the ACA (Australian Counselling Association, ARCAP (The Australian Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists), and Psychology Today and listed on HealthShare, Halaxy, Health Direct, and The Campaspe Shire Council.

Flourish Counselling & Psychosocial Support is guided by principles that honour safety, dignity, and the whole person.
Our approach brings together trauma‑informed practice, neuroscience, lived experience, and ethical, person‑centred care to create a space where people feel genuinely supported.
We prioritise emotional safety, transparency, collaboration, and respect, and these principles shape how we listen, how we respond, and how we walk alongside individuals and families throughout their healing and recovery.

At Flourish Counselling & Psychosocial Support, our values of inclusion, acceptance, and equality guide every part of providing trauma‑informed counselling in Echuca.
Inclusion means every person is welcomed exactly as they are, without the need for masking, minimising, or explaining their identity. We honour neurodivergence, culture and kinship, and lived experience, creating a space where differences are recognised and valued across all mental health support and psychosocial support services.
Acceptance creates emotional safety. Your story is held without judgment, and your protective responses are understood with compassion and never pathologised or dismissed. This is central to our trauma‑informed counselling approach.
Equality shapes our commitment to advocacy, ethical practice, and addressing systemic harm. We actively advocate to organisations and services across the region to ensure fair treatment, accessible support, and dignity for every client engaging in counselling or psychosocial recovery.
We warmly welcome LGBTQA+ individuals, neurodivergent clients, and people from diverse cultures, communities, and backgrounds.
